Three Rivers Health Employee Awarded Perinatal Excellence Award

THREE RIVERS, MI – Every year, the Southwestern Michigan Perinatal Association (SWMPA) which is comprised of representatives from 11 hospitals in Southwest Michigan who are dedicated to improving healthcare for women and children, recognizes a healthcare provider who excels in the care of women and children.

This year, the Perinatal Excellence Award was presented to Becky Comer, RN, at the annual spring conference held May 23, at the Fetzer Center on the campus of Western Michigan University, in Kalamazoo.

Becky is a registered nurse at Three Rivers Health. She has worked in the Birthing Center for seven years. Becky was selected by her co-workers, to receive this prestigious award because of her commitment to providing excellent care to the patients of the Birthing Center and her dedication to Three Rivers Health. She is a patient advocate and provides excellent care to mothers and babies. Becky has been described as a team player who is always willing to help her co-workers.

Becky is carrying on the family tradition of providing excellent patient care. Her mother, Shelly Seager, a 37-year employee of Three Rivers Health, won this same award in 1997.
