New Program Shows How to Commit to a Healthy Lifestyle
September 27, 2018
Interested in living the healthiest life you can? Three Rivers Health has a program called Mindset 365. The focus is on committing to a healthy lifestyle and creating a culture of health and well-being within the St. Joseph County community.
What does healthy really mean? Health defined is “the state of being free from illness or injury,” or simply to feel better or have well-being. And research has consistently shown that by eating a nutrient rich and fiber filled diet as well as being active we can improve our health and prevent illness.
Mindset 365 focuses on educating its members to look at specific behaviors regarding food and activity and see which behavior positively or negatively impacts their health. By changing or shifting one’s mindset from diet and exercise to health and well-being, one can begin to understand that wellness goes deeper to the core of who we -— not just what we do.
Technology has advanced many areas of fitness and wellness and there is a ton of information we can get off the internet as well as thousands of websites marketing the next new product promising better health. Plus, we all have that brother-in-law or friend at work that says “you have to try this new diet, it really works.”
But the question you really need to ask is “will it get me healthy?” Because that is the goal: to be healthy, feel good and be free from illness.
The Three Rivers Health Mindset 365 program has a class starting October 22, 2018. Call for more info at 269.273.9607.
